Now Available on F-Droid!

After 2-3 months of effort Flicky Bee can now be downloaded through F-Droid!

Wow was this a process. I have very poor internet by current standards, so downloading vms for server-only build testing was nearly impossible. I had to sort of recreate the process that the FDroid buildserver goes through several times on my own machine, and also use the Pipeline tester on Gitlab to figure things out. To be honest there is an Fdroid buildserver package available, however I could never get it to run properly... Most likely my own fault.

One big issue to address

The version available on FDroid is not 100 percent the same as the version available here or on Google Playstore. The FDroid version is missing a lot of visual detail, specifically the Grass and Pebbles in the Dirt. This was a delightfully confusing issue that I couldn't seem to hammer out. What made it especially difficult was that if the game was opened in an editor display at least once the issue wouldn't occur. It only happens if the MultiMesh instances never get loaded by the Godot Engine Editor. Since the FDroid buildserver is a headless linux server, this of course is the case; and since my internet sucks this was miserable to diagnose.

I had no idea until after I have given up and accepted the buildserver version won't do multimesh; that this was just a straight up bug that has very recently been patched with the newest Godot stable (4.2.2). So eventually I will update this project onto 4.2.2 or higher, and we will have an actual update on our hands. Looking around at this project though, I do feel tempted to expand on it... maybe lol.
